In the past, people’s love rested on objects. Yet, in today’s secular society, love is measured by different goods. Many brands have launched a variety of limited perfumes and lipsticks. The love between people seems to have gradually become materialized by these. The transparency of the lipsticks and perfume symbolize the faded value of object, and Barbara Kruger’s slogan of “money can buy you love” is hidden inside. The work explore how consumerism can change the values of things to people.
